Three Ships 9 Year Old Fino Cask Finish

The Three Ships 9yo Fino Cask Finish is the 2019 and fourth release in the annual Master's Collection. The blend was matured for five years in ex-American oak, followed by an additional four years in ex-Fino sherry casks. Only four casks were used for a total of 2,940 bottles were produced. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at 48.6%.

Tasting Notes

NOSE
Prominent smoke and peat interlaced with figs, pineapple, orange peel, pepper and spice.

PALATE
The whisky opens up with peat, treacle syrup, tobacco, spice and a playful nuttiness.

FINISH
Long and warm with lingering tropical fruits, almonds and a soft smoky mouthful.
