Springbank 25 Years Old is an annual limited release from the popular Springbank distillery in Campbeltown. The 2023 edition sports an updated design with an eye-catching gold and black label. The single malt matured for 25 years in 50% refill bourbon and 50% refill sherry casks, and was bottled in December 2022 at 46%. The nose is sweet and inviting with aromas of caramel shortbread, dried pineapple and honeydew melon. The gentle and refined palate brings a smooth, buttery feel and notes of gingerbread, liquorice and coffee grounds. The dram is rounded off with a touch of peat smoke. Springbank 25 Years Old 2023 saw a limited release of 1400 bottles.

NOSE
A sweet, inviting introduction to this dram, there are notes of caramel and millionaire shortbread, dried pineapple and honeydew melon.
PALATE
The palate is gentle and refined with a smooth, buttery feel. There are touches of gingerbread and liquorice, along with a note of coffee grounds hinting at a slight woody element.
FINISH
The emergence of peat smoke in the finish rounds off this dram.
