Kavalan 40th Anniversary Wine Cask

A limited edition, single cask, single malt released in 2019 in celebration of the 40th anniversary of Kavalan's parent company King Car Group. Matured in an exclusive French red wine cask. The set includes a large decanter, adorned with a crown-inspired cork studded with Swarovski crystals, encased in a leather bound wooden box and a Kavalan branded crystal glass tumbler. 10,000 sets were produced. Bottled at a cask strength of 56.3%. (Bottle size 1.5 litre)

Tasting Notes

NOSE
Powerful and dense with rich notes of exuding dark-skinned Cabernet Sauvignon fruit, with strawberry, bilberry, spice and flourishes of fresh charred oak.

PALATE
Thick layers of toffee-rich berry fruits, enlivened with flares of spice, notably pepper, clove and tobacco, all brought together with a magnificent wine character.

FINISH
Long and sensuous, yielding a gentle mix of signature fruits and soft spices.
