Compass Box Affinity

It's the Affinity expression from Compass Box! An exciting limited edition bottling, said to be the very first Calvados and Scotch whisky blend. It combines Calvados from iconic producer Christian Drouin with malt whisky from Craigellachie which spent a year in a first fill sherry butt, alongside previously blended malts from Clynelish, Dailuaine and Teaninich. Think apples and pears with layers of malty goodness. Affinity showcases both spirits beautifully, and we can feel our own affinity growing for the blend.

Tasting Notes

NOSE
Dense, heady, unctuous apple brandy. Dried apple coated in caramel.

PALATE
Black liquorice, fresh and dried apples

FINISH
Charcoal, oaky, and dash of marzipan or bitter almonds.
