Toiteach (meaning smoky in Scots Gaelic) was the first standard release from the Islay distillery that was peated. Matured in ex-bourbon casks with a small influence of ex-sherry. Non-chillfiltered and bottled at 46%.
Slight smoke, dry grass, sweet lemon and mixed apples.
Deep smoke with subtle sherry notes. Well-balanced by the smoke and dry-ish peat along with caramel, more straw and green apple.
Smoky and clean with a hint of ash and a slight rubbery note on the end.
