A 14-year-old Balvenie which finished its maturation in casks which had previously held Caribbean rum. Expect vanilla and toffee notes as the rum contributes extra sweetness to the flavours.
Tasting Notes
NOSE
Brown sugar, butter and nutmeg – buttered rum mix, before you add the rum. With that, there's shortbread, golden syrup and sweet Muscat grapes.
PALATE
Apples, lemons, icing sugar and brown toast, with syrup, caramel and toffee popcorn.
FINISH
White toast with Golden Syrup, freshly sawn oak and a touch of stewed apple.
